Thank You Joshua!

Studio proprietor Stuart Lane reflects on how his 5 month old first born has influenced his work with children.

Joshua unselfishly had his very first photo shoot in the hospital delivery theatre and has been giving constant inspiration ever since.

"I always new that Joshua's arrival would influence my work but I was not sure exactly how. My affinity for children and ability to get on their wave length is vital to the results I am proud to have already achieved, but I new that becoming a parent would naturally give another dimension to this.

What I have found is that it has given me a far deeper insight into the parent child relationship during the first months of a baby's life. This has percolated into my approach with increasing recognition to the special bonds that exist and ways that this is revealed. One fundamental change to have occurred is that I now actively encouraged skin to skin contact between mother or father and baby during the shoot."

Congratulatuons Galla Ensemble

When Sony BMG contacted Photography Lane Studio last year to shoot their new million pound signing: Gilbert & Sullivan The Galla Ensemble, we were a little unsure what to expect (not being regular attendees of light operatic shows).

The shoot turned out to be highly entertaining and educational as it was regularly punctuated by snippets of the 'Modern Major General' and ' Three Little Maids From School Are We'!

Poole Audi Canvas Display Re-Tune

18 Months have passes since we built the floor to ceiling double sided wall of canvasses for the Poole Audi Dealership. It consisted of 24 commissioned portraits of their staff members and has become the talking point of all who visit, including the Audi CEO!

Now Managing Director David Kelly has commissioned a new series of portraits to add to the display.

Many thanks to all the Poole Audi employees involved who once again entered the spirit of the occasion and made for an entertaining shoot and in will re-new the talking point of the Audi dealerships.

Photography Lane Supports the BIC at Confex

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Bournemouth International Centre and Photography Lane Studio were proud to support them at Confex in Earls Court.

Our event photography services gave serious customers a chance to be a bit silly and take away a branded BIC 25th Anniversary souvenir of their visit to the BIC stand.

They were invited to be superimposed into illustrated designs, some jumped at the chance others were successfully pinned down!

Hothouse Turns Greenhouse

The Greenhouse hotel is the first in a line of exiting new hotels being developed by City Eco Hotels Ltd.

Photography Lane has been commissioned to document the development which will transform the old Gresham Court Hotel which was recently severely damaged by fire.

Photographer Stuart Lane was drawn to the project having seen his 16 century family home severely damaged by fire only five years ago.

"The smell of the place took me right back to the day I stood in the ashes of our home, it seemed a little morbid at the time to photograph the remains but it turned out to be quite therapeutic and now serves as a really fascinating historical record, now we can do the same for the Greenhouse."

Interior Design For Bagel Heaven

Never ones to turn down the opportunity for a free lunch, Photography Lane Studio was happy to assist when asked to photograph a range of luxury Bagels!

The images will form a wall display and go into promotional materials and menus for the first Bagel shop in Bournemouth.

We can highly recommend the Lemon Chicken, yum! Look out for Bagel Heaven, coming soon on Westover Road Bournemouth.
